The picture is from an online comic called 'Emerald Winter'. It's a pretty good comic. Doesn't update very regularly, but pretty good.

You take screenshots by hitting "Print Screen" on your keyboard (which effectively copies the entire current screen), opening up an image processor like Photoshop or MSPaint, and pasting (Ctrl-C) it in. Then save.
