Artist's Comments

I've been doing a great deal of those 'lineart-then-colour' pictures lately, and I felt like doing a genuine no-lineart piece for a change. So I got out Photoshop and sketched this up. I believe it took about one or two hours.

I suppose this counts as fanart for ~child-dragon 's Dragon Lords. I liked the story, was running low on inspiration, so I picked that and did a fanart for it. Hope you like.

And lastly, I apologize sincerely to dragon lovers for somehow making that one look like a flying tadpole. With wings.

EDIT: After someone commented on the skewed floorstone perspective, I did a little tinkering in Photoshop and realized to my delight that flipping the background layer horizontal resulted in a more accurate looking floorstone thing, as opposed to the original [link] . Heehee! I love layers.

LOL! Tadpole! But hardly!

I really like the atmosphere in this pic - it makes the lady appear so wistful. Your colour choice is great too

You didn't see it when it first started out. I swear I spent over ten minutes trying to make it look less like a tadpole.

Critics will grumble. Of course they will. That's one of the functions of critics. As an artist it's your job to give them ulcers, and perhaps even something to get apoplectic about. -- Neil Gaiman

Beautiful..... it's like something straight from the edges of the subconcious.

In my opinion, the dragon only looks like a tadpole if you look directly at it.

Absolutely gorgeous! I love the soft lighting, it really looks like dawn, and those transparent sleeves are too cool. :) Great work!

The sky looks like a watercolor painting. That is dang gorgeous. How on earth did you get photoshop to cooperate like that!? And the contrast between the sky and the lady.... pwheeee.

Wow 0_0

I have to say, Crystal, this is one of your best works yet ^^ (in my opinion anyways, 'cause I'm addicted to dragons ^^;)
